Care Instructions
WASHING
Your Elizabeth Samuel® sheets will get softer and better with every wash. To maintain quality and longevity they should be changed every 7-10 days. Machine wash in cool to warm water with like colors and fabrics, using a small amount of good quality liquid detergent. To keep your linens bright and buttery soft simply add about half a cup of baking soda to the wash and/or half a cup of white vinegar to the rinse cycle.
DRYING
We recommend line drying. If using a dryer, tumble dry on a low heat. If ironing, use a low setting. If, like us, you think life is too short to iron sheets, you can reduce wrinkling if you remove them promptly from the machine and shake them out before drying.
STORAGE AND REPLACEMENT
Replace sheets when they show obvious signs of aging such as fraying, stains or fading color. Pillowcases will require more frequent replacement. To extend the life of your sheets, store them out of sunlight, in a cool, dry area and not in plastic containers which promote yellowing and mildew. To keep your linen cupboard neat and finding sheets a breeze, store each set in its matching pillowcase.
AVOID
Fabric softeners and bleach because they can degrade the fabric, reduce absorbency and shorten the lifespan of your sheets.
Contact with household cleaners and personal care products such as cosmetics as they promote discoloration.
Washing with clothing as buttons, hooks and zippers can damage the fabric.
